Travis Maddox.  Aside from Kellan Kyle, I don't think there is a more recognized name in the book boyfriend realm.  

 ** sigh **  

 A Beautiful Wedding is the third book, a novella, in the Beautiful Disaster series.  It zeroes in on exactly how Abby and Travis wound up in Vegas getting married, the ceremony, their wedding night (chicka bow chicka bow bow) the story behind the Mrs. Maddox tattoo and their one-year anniversary.  The book picks up just hours after the tragic fire in Keaton Hall. 

Throughout the series, Travis never falters from that guy we fell in love with in Beautiful Disaster and the guy I fell even more in love with in Walking Disaster.  I am a sucker for the companion male point of view novel and Walking Disaster is my favorite of the series.  When Abby gets cold feet before the ceremony, Travis' words and something he gives Abby has me crying like a baby.  SO, SO good!!!!!   And then the actual ceremony .... only Abby and Travis can make a Vegas wedding with an Elvis impersonator romantic and endearing.
Elvis hadn't made it halfway before Travis decided to stop waiting and walked toward us.  I took his arm.
"Uh ... I was gonna give 'er away." 
Travis's mouth pulled to one side.  
"She was already mine." 
Abby takes A Beautiful Wedding as an opportunity to redeem herself for being so indecisive, stubborn, and, yes, a little annoying in the past.  She loves her man .... HARD! 
"We were best friends first, and we tried not to fall in love, and we did anyway.  If you're not with me, it's not where I want to be.  I'm in this.  I'm with you.  We might be impulsive, and absolutely insane to be standing here at our age, six months after we met.
This whole thing might play out to be a completely wonderful, beautiful disaster, but I want that if it's with you." - Abby
My only hangup with A Beautiful Wedding is the reason Abby pushed for the Vegas wedding and didn't tell Travis.  I struggled with it a little .... I was okay with it in the end but it took me a while to accept it without resentment.

Jamie manages to do something so many authors fail miserably at.  She takes a hot-headed, fists flying, never settle down, under ground fighting man whore and turns him into a sweet, loving, considerate man without pussifying him.  It's happened to some of my most beloved book boyfriends but not Travis .... thank gawd!

4.5 "sweet, funny and sexy " SMOOCHES


Imagine being twenty-something, working a crap job, living in a crap apartment, driving a crap car ... having a hopeless crush on your best friend's employee who also happens to be the biggest man whore around town.  Not that it's all doom and gloom, you're young and beautiful with a hot body and great friends.  

That's Teeny.

Now switch gears and imagine being that man whore .... you're also twenty-something, a successful tattoo artist, wicked hot, funny as hell, and you never sleep with a woman more than once.  You also happen to be insanely hot for your boss' best friend but have too much respect for her to go there not to mention a you have a friendship you don't want to destroy with one night of sex.  

That's Trip.

Okay, so, imagine what happens when one drunken night you both say "screw it" and end up having a wild, fantastic night of sex you can't stop thinking about.

Oh, and Teeny got knocked up.  So now you can factor crazy pregnancy hormones into the equation.

This book is HILARIOUS!  Trip and Teeny are two characters that will stay with you long after you've finished Tattered Love.  Poor Trip ....  he is absolutely clueless.  He's never wanted a relationship before and now he wants to try one with Teeny.  He's scared, confused and flustered by it all and Teeny does absolutely nothing to help the situation.  She's fiercely independent, scared shitless herself, and hormonal to boot.
"Been a f-up my whole life...but I swear.  Teeny, if you let me, I'll do this right.  I'll do this one thing right....Teen, please don't take this from me.  Don't take our baby."
There are SO many heart-stealing moments by Trip.  I was SO surprised by this guy!  I mean, early on this is the guy who said, "Besides, I like my dick outta my pants; it finds all kinds of fun shit to do."  And now he's thinking things like this - 
Cupping her pretty face in my hands, I put everything I was, everything I had, everything I wanted to be into that one kiss.
** sigh **  Who knew I'd love Trip this much?

Another thing I really loved was the growth in Lola's writing.  I enjoyed Tattered Love but I loved Conflicted Love so much more ... Teeny and Trip just pulled at my heartstrings.  And they made me laugh.  A lot.  Conflicted Love is just a sweet, funny, sexy story.  One you don't want to miss!
