HOLY SHIIIIIIT!!! Okay, I am ready.  I am sure, like myself, you have seen the HOTTTT teasers floating around for Stepbrother Dearest for a while now.  I am a sucker for forbidden love.  The more taboo the better!  Step-siblings, YES please!  I wanted this book SO badly that I was sure it would disappoint.  I am sosososo happy to tell you that it did the exact opposite.  This book exceeded all of my expectations.  I am IN LOVE with Elec and Greta!

Elec is sent to live with his father and his new family, whom he has yet to meet, while his mother gets her shit together.  Elec and his dad have a very rocky relationship and from the start you just know there is a huge story there.  And then there is Greta(hate that name BTW!!), the hot stepsister he wishes he never had.  Elec walks around with a huge chip on his shoulder.  He is rude.. he is obnoxious, he is hot as hell and completely irresistible!

My body was an imbecile with poor judgement.  How could it want something so badly that hated it right back?

Greta is completely obsessed with her new stepbrother and the meaner he is to her the more she seems to want him.  They start off pranking one another and eventually it turns into a game.  Elec is confusing.  At times it seems he wants to be her friend and then he goes back to his asshole-ish ways.  Their relationship is hot and cold.  Greta is in a constant state of what I would call horny confusion.

I’m not going to give much away bc again I was completely surprised with the depth of Stepbrother Dearest.  While I got all of the angst I anticipated… and more.  I also got some very unexpected feels and tears!  WHAT?!?  This was supposed to be a smutty fun read, right?  See, there is the more!  And it was hilarious… like laugh out loud/ fall out of your chair funny!  

This was my first Penelope Ward book and I am SOLD!  I am going to go back and read everything she has ever written.  I loved this book SO much!  I know you all will too.  Don’t let this one pass you by girlies!  CLICK CLICK CLICK!

Holy hell, y'all!  For weeks, WEEKS I tell you, I was WANTING Stepbrother Dearest!  The premise, the teasers ... I had a MAJOR hard on for this book.  As the day got closer ... the day Stepbrother Dearest would appear on my Kindle, I started to worry.  The HYPE, the ANTICIPATION ... it was too much, what if the book was disappointing?  A huge let down?  I wasn't sure I could take it.

Thank goodness!  All that worrying was for nothing!  Stepbrother Dearest was not at all what I was expecting.  Yes, it was sexy and angsty and forbidden (which I was totally expecting) but it was So. Much. More.

Greta's life is thrown for a loop when her sexy and angry stepbrother Elec comes to live with her, her mom and stepfather.  As Elec's relationship with his father unfolds and Greta better understands what is between them, she develops a soft spot for Elec despite his crappy attitude towards her.  They both find themselves fighting an attraction for each other while a unexpected kinship grows between them.

Stepbrother Dearest takes a path I wasn't expecting at all and turns into quite the little love story.  It was packed with humor I wasn't expecting either.  I really, really loved it!
