Amelia is trapped in her "perfect" life.
How it worked in our family was the daughters were supposed to marry somebody with equal breeding, equal intellect and equal money.
Love had nothing to do with it.So when Amelia catches her fiance in a compromising position, she sets off with no real plan .... only to get away from the only life she's known.
Fate and a stubborn cow land her at the Reeves' ranch where she meets siblings Destry, Austin, Braxton, and Ellie-May. Amelia is stranded at their ranch until her car is repaired. The last thing Amelia wants is to fall for the gorgeous, stubborn and stand-offish Destry. The last thing Destry wants is to fall for the uppity, beautiful city girl driving him crazy.
And, of course, that's what happens....
I am such a fan of Lola's work! Love the Needles Kiss series and am looking forward to the upcoming books in this series (looks like each sibling will have a book). Destry is a quick and light read ... not a lot of character development, unfortunately, and I would've liked to know these characters better. They are likable as is and I suspect I might just love them as the series goes on and I get to know them more.
Lola Stark lives in Australia, Is an at home mummy with no filter raising a hoard of minions and a husband who sometimes appears not to have grown up. Lola has loved to read for as long as she can remember. When not wrangling the family she can be found sitting at her computer , writing, facebooking or just generally messing around.
