Far Too Tempting by Lauren Blakely Blog Tour

Synopsis:
Jane Black has written the break-up album of the century, earning her a Grammy, a huge legion of new fans, and the pressure to repeat her success. Sure, the heartbreak from her husband's unconventional abandonment might have been her inspiration, but it hasn't done her any favors in the dating department. So when Matthew Harrigan, the toughest music journalist out there, asks for an interview, Jane agrees-as long as her personal life is completely off-limits.

British, gorgeous, and way too tempting, Matthew's the first guy Jane's been attracted to since her husband. As she spends more time with him and their relationship heats up, though, so does her writer's block. How can the queen of the break-up pen the perfect follow-up when she's seriously in love?

Review:
4 "far too tempting" smooches

There is no argument more pointless-none in the entire universe-than the one that begins with the words, "But you said you loved me." You will never win…

That is the secret of my success, the bittersweet reminder that you can write a breakup album and it can be great and you can win an award and be thrilled beyond your wildest dreams, but you're only here because you are the biggest idiot in the world. Because you loved a man wildly, crazily, passionately. But oops! He was never really into you at all.

There is no album quite like a break-up album. Jane has been a struggling artist for years. When her heart was broken, in the worst way, she poured her feelings into her music and created the ultimate break-up album. Now her career is flying high, and she has just won the Grammy for album of the year.

Everyone wants a piece of Jane. Her producer and manager are after her for a follow-up album. And, the industry's biggest critic, Matthew Harrigan wants to do an exclusive article on the creative process of her new album. Jane is really feeling the pressure.

He could make or break a musician, but he could probably make or break a heart, too…

Jane is attracted to Matthew and doesn't want to refuse the article. But, she is suffering with a case of writer's block that she can't seem to shake. She asks for time to think about it, hoping somehow the songs will come soon.

My music.

It's like a phantom limb, and like a missing limb, it's not coming back. It is absent without leave. Vanished without a trace.

She spends time with Matthew and he says and does all of the right things. But, after being so badly burned, Jane is skeptical of his interest in her. Does Matthew really want her or is he just trying to get Jane to do the article?

"You really don't know how much I want you? Because there aren't enough adverbs to describe how much. Insanely, immensely, ridiculously. I could go on."

Oh Matthew! "You had me at hello." But, please, do carry on...
"Jane… You have to know, you are more than your marriage. You are more than what happened to you. You are so much more than the way your marriage ended…"

There comes a time when healing is simply a choice, when moving forward is a choice. You choose to love, you choose to commit, you choose to be faithful. I choose to heal.
Jane finally reconciles her past and chooses to move on with Matthew. She believes in him. She trusts him. Has her heart failed her again?

…this is all my fears, all my doubts, crashing around me again. This is me believing in something so deeply and then finding out I was tricked.

This is my first Lauren Blakely book and I am a fan! I am a self-professed quote whore and was like a kid in a candy shop! I found myself wanting to quote her whole book! Believe it or not, I deleted quite a few from this review before finalizing it. I guess I can't give it all away. *wink* Her writing is fantastic. She has such beautiful phrasing. I just loved it!

Thank you Lauren for including us in the release of this beautiful story! I am honored to have been one of the first to read Far Too Tempting and have enjoyed getting to know you and your characters.
